Think of your favorite summer afternoons. They don’t have to be big or momentous events, just good thoughts. Little things. Okay, now listen to the song. Every summer, my family rents a house on an island off the coast of Maine. We spend every day on my uncle’s boat, walking the beach collecting sea glass, or just taking a stroll down to the wharf to watch the ferry come in. Those were the moments that came to mind as I heard this song for the first time- the ones that define my summers.
Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein, the masterminds behind Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., add a retro flair to pleasantly layered, light music. Their music is very clearly not over-worked or over-produced, giving it a refreshing, simplistic feel.
