Yeasayer is an experimental band based in Brooklyn, formed by Anand Wilder, Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton and Luke Fasano. Its style is really eclectic and we can find here a mixture of styles: indie-pop, experimental-pop, psychedelic pop, a bit of snap (a sub-genre of hip-hop), electronic- pop, soul and basically, whatever you can think of.
They started back in 2007 participating in the SXSW festival (celebrated in Austin, Texas) and since then, their presence in international festivals has been very usual: Lollapaaloza, Reading and Leeds Festival, Pinkpop and a few more. The last piece of new about its work it is an EP they have released in 2011 called “End Blood” and I am sure they will surprise us with a new album.
Its sound can be calm or lively, there is something for all the tastes. But their compositions are always powerful and possess a spiritual and mystic nuance. Make yourself comfortable, close your eyes and let yourself go with this experimental journey.
Judge for yourself and enjoy the tune.
