Glen Hansard, that redhead guy that conquered our hearts in the film “Once” and won an Academy Award for the Best Original Song (“Falling Slowly”), has released a new album, but this time on his own. “Rythm and Repose” has been enterely composed and performed by this Irish musician and meets the main ingredients of his successful receipt: a touching voice, touching lyrics, touching melodies and a great songwriter legacy in his compositions that will remind us of names like Van Morrison.
But this new work has not made him forget his other musical project beside to Marketa Irglova, that is, Swell Season. And who knows if the mitical rock-folk The Frames, founded by Glen in the 90’s, will give us a surprise coming back to the studio again.
Glen is arriving to Spain this month of February to delight our ears with three concerts:
13th february: Joy Eslava (Madrid)
14th February: Kafe Antzkoia (Bilbao)

And he will not be alone. He will be accompanied by a delicious entering called Lisa Hannigan. An Irish angel that make us float between spongy clouds while listening to their folkie sounds. Ireland and music. What a lovely and talented marriage. What God has joined together, let not man separate.
