I debated on sharing this tune with everyone, considering Whitley isn’t Whitley anymore. But then I decided that I still loved the song and thought I should tell you guys about it anyway.
Whitely, aka Lawrence Greenwood (who now goes by just his name – new album is forth-coming), hails from Melbourne, Australia. He came out with two albums before deciding to go in a new direction with his music. This particular track is from his sophomore record – Go Forth, Find Mammoth.
This song has a very melancholy theme to it but is beautiful nonetheless. It’s the story of someone trying to find the piece that his/her ex took away from them after they left. The lyrics are beautiful, as are the harmonies.
