Hey there, this is my first post so here it goes… With the release of their third album, “In Time To Voices”, Brighton alternative rock pair Blood Red Shoes have moved into a bigger and if I do say myself, better sound-scape. Laura-Mary Carter is quoted as saying “We decided we wanted to make a really ambitious record, not something which reflects our live show but something which is only limited by our imaginations and not by how many instruments we use onstage”.

The latest single from said album is the title track, “In Time To Voices”. The track starts life as a steamy slow burner of reverb soaked guitar and warm summer night synth, a drum fill later and it morphs into pain and passion building to a explosion of pain, desire and anguish. I believe this track gives a real sense of the pain someone feels after a hard brake up, the emotional hurt, especially with lyrics like “how long, how long, til I feel stronger”.

I think the video’s pritty badass too!
