Eleven editions of surf, beer, music and friends. Eleven editions of a lively atmosphere that surrounds this coast town in the north of Spain called Salinas (Asturias). It is considered as one of the most important festivals of its genre after the ones in Malibú (California, USA) or Noosa (Queensland, Australia). Sponsors like VANS or San Miguel are behind this required appointment every end of july.
The longboard competition is accompanied by a good schedule of concerts and other exhibitions (like skateboarding). Live music, clothes, surfboards and food stalls in the promenade and a lot of people eager to have fun. We can not forget that the main ingredient of this festival is the surf competition, but the party has risen in a crescendo and has attracted more people over these last years.
Besides this year the festival comes with a novelty because another party it has been organized at the other side of the beach: Fiestas del Túnel. There we can enjoy some other good concerts and DJ’s performances. Musicians like “Smile”, “O’Funkillo”, “El Sueño de Morfeo”, “Chiquita y Chatarra” or “Mikel Erentxun” has participated in the event.
