Dearest readers may I introduce you to the fantastic London five piece that is “Spector”. Since forming last year Spector have been propelled into the limelight by being nominated for the BBC’s Sound Of 2012 award as well as a live performance on Jools Holland’s Later.

This band is the future of indie rock, embracing both the guitar and the synth to create a driven and addictive sound. Its impressive to think that such a new band has progressed to this stage of music capability and gratification within such a small space of time. When it takes some bands years and years of unforgiving touring, and playing to two people in the back of pubs to break through into the limelight.

This track “Chevy Thunder” portrays exactly what they are about full of energy, excitement and power thrown in your face in every note. I guarantee that you will be on your feet busting some serious moves on your living room floor and knocking pictures off the wall. If i was going to describe them I would say they are similar to The Vaccines if they were teamed up with Editors vocal ability.  Its apparent that 2012 is going to be a big year, with Hew Stephens tipping them to be one of the next big UK acts. Times could be changing quicker than expected for this feisty five-some.

Recently the band went on a huge UK tour which started in February and has yet to finish, a bundle of festival performances over the summer, and even more unbelievably have snapped up a support slot with none other than Florence and the Machine . It seems like this band is unstoppable to hit the big time and with music this catchy it doesn’t look like their journey will stop any time soon.

If you love “Chevy Thunder” you should check out what else they have to offer right here. Much Love x
