So I therefore introduce you to the band “Young Colossus” a band who has a familiar face fronting them. If you know The Maccabees you will without a doubt recognise Orlando Weeks who is fronting Young Colossus. Clearly using this as an opportunity to explore his creative side further the self titled EP is produced in a high quality printed picture book. The sound also shows more development and has a very unique feel and vibe, sounding darker and more abstract using a larger verity of instruments
The track Franky above is taken from the EP and gives you an idea of what to expect from the rest of the EP. If you are fans of The Maccabees you are not necessarilly going to love this. Its allot less indie rock and more acoustic dance music (If there is such a thing). If you are a fan of the Danish group Sleep Party People you will love this, but as it has only been made available on limited 1500 copies, so you are likely to be spending time on the web looking for a free download. The sound could also be compared to that of Radiohead as the weird and wonderful limits of music are pushed futher.
Personally I think it is a brilliant piece of work and I would recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for something out the ordinary and a little bit diffrent they are the band for you.
