Toro Y Moi’s Chaz Bundick had a great 2011. Building on the success of his debut album Causers of This, he released Underneath the Pine to critical acclaim. While both albums are tied together by Bundick’s airy vocals and clever use of layers, UTP is a lot more uptempo and danceable. Having seen him perform live with a full band on October 14th, I can attest to the quality and energy of their shows.
On this track, Fare Soldi keeps the vocals to a minimum and emphasizes the funky guitar and synth work on the track. It almost sounds like something Daft Punk would have put out back in their Homework days (which is a really good thing). Enjoy, download below!
