Hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, Trampled By Turtles are at the forefront of the Indie Folk and Bluegrass revival movement that is sweeping the United States and Europe. Not quite as well known as other luminaries in the genre (Fleet Foxes, Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons), what they lack in recognition they make up for with superb vocal harmonies, tightly crafted songs and beautiful songwriting.
While this song is off their critically acclaimed fifth album, Palomino, the band has just released Stars and Satellites and are kicking off a nationwide tour. They will be playing at New York City’s Webster Hall on Tuesday April 17, 2012 and at The Variety Playhouse, in Atlanta, on April 27 (yours truly will be in attendance at both shows – one of the perks of a press pass).
