Alex Winston is a rising star in the music biz, originating from Detroit, USA this lady should be under everyone’s magnifying glass for 2012. With the “Bestival” and “Isle of Wight Festival’s” crowds won over by her heartfelt, warm vocals and incredibly catchy choruses, we are all left wanting more.
Alex clearly has allot of influences from all different types of music. But the blues and swing tones to her songs come through clear as day, making her very comparable to acts such as Emelda May, and Rebecca Ferguson (the one from the X Factor sing-a-along). However this is without a doubt not a bad thing, with fans such as Hew Stephens, and Jen Long (both Radio 1 DJs) she is destined to catch a glimmer of some lime light in 2012.
