There are songs that touch us deeply.But there are other songs that seem to be witnesses of our lives.They seem to know us better than we know ourselves. And this tune is an example.
The Cinematic Orchestra was born in London in 1997. Personally, I think they are one if the greatest nu-jazz bands of the moment. They mixture so well classical jazz sounds with electronic ones (turntablism, samples…). They have been acclaimed by the musical critics since their debut album “Motion” in 1999.
It is not very usual that they include voices in their tracks, but in their last album “Ma Fleur”, we can find collaborations of different singers (in the case of this one,Canadian artist Patrick Watson).
