Scratch Massive are a duo of DJ from France. They released their last album Nuit de rêve a few weeks ago and it’s massive. I decided to showcase the song Nuit De Mes Rêves because it sounds like Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin are still alive and singing/talking on electronic music. The sound is very 2011: heavy beat, saturated bassline and hypnotizing synthesizers. It’s also very dark, it could easily be a score for a John Carpenter movie. Stunning!
I strongly advise you get your hands on this album (you can stream it right here) and listen to it from the beginning until the end. Because unlike most albums today, this one is much stronger when listened to as a whole. Enjoy!
