The Hungarian Angel: Anita Hodosi
Imagine! After the well-known, incredibly talented hungarian topmodell, Eniko Mihalik – whose name isn’t a problem to pronounce any more all over the world – the new next Hungarian shiny star, Anita Hodosi just arrived. „It’s so scary to even talk about how young I was when I started my career. I was just a 14-year-old little girl, a teenager and now I’m 22. But you know what? I don’ feel being late. Its my turn now!”- The coolest model told me who came to Milan only for a direct booking job (and for the interview of course) from NYC, where she actually lives.
We met for a coffee at the lobby of the hotel where she is staying. Se had a very sophisticated look with a sweet ponytail and without make up on her face. She was wearing awesome skinny jeans with an American Apparel basic t-shirt. Before we started the interview she turned her blackberry off to express she was 100 percent there with me. The first biggest step in the career of our angel was the Gucci editorial in the Vogue Japan that just came out but the feedbacks are already really great. „I was really impressed and honestly a little bit proud of myself as well – laughing – when the photographer, Hiroshi Kutomi offered me another job during the Vogue shooting since he was totally satisfied with me”.
I have to tell it was definitely not a unique thing of Anita’s life. Since she works in NYC it happens often that the photographers, art directors and stylists just love what Anita does and so they immediately book her for the next days (or week because she is really busy, you even cannot imagine). By the way she regularly works for the biggest fashion brands like Chloe, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Coach. „Sometimes I feel I am so exhausted I could fall asleep just right on the metro on my way to castings or shootings but I cannot give up, and I obviously don’t want to. In NYC I really love my opportunities and the way things work. We can say, yes, I just changed a lot! A few years ago the angel decided to study spiritual silence, which made her personality changed in a very good way. „I meditate every day which makes me feel great and be much nicer to everyone. I’m much more interested in other people’s life around me and those people usually realize how positive I am every time.”
To find this absolute harmony in her life took her long and to find a place to live finally was very important as well. „I have lived my life from my luggage for almost 8 years but now it was enough. I settled down in NYC and now I have an apartment where I feel home. I really think I’m gonna stay in the USA for the long run. „And where the inner change lead her in her career? She and her agency, the Muse just started to transform her to the beauty section from the high fashion what she used to do. „I think it could work now, because my personality is much more feminine as well, so I am absolutely ready to do more beauty jobs. I really love them”. Anita’s physical appearance is very suitable for these beauty jobs, you can’t even imagine. She let her hair grow recently for example and in her model book there are more pictures where she poses really like a woman, not like a tomboy anymore. She is a topmodell now! The idea came 1 year ago when the fashion photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino offered her a Lancome world campaign. For now Anita is already involved at the Clinique casting as we speak. I wish her the best on behalf of the whole editorial office. Let’s hope to see her lovely smile soon as the face of a world campaign. I could imagine!
